Pulse + Core sits at the epicenter of every call.

Identity flows in from your directory. Voice flows in from your carriers. Pulse + Core stitches them together, applies the rules, and pushes calls out to Microsoft Teams, mobile, and whatever comes next. The diagram below is the mental model — every section after it zooms in on one part.

The mental model

Application layer in. Voice layer in. Pulse + Core in the middle.

Two tiers, one heart. Read the diagram top-to-bottom for the application story, bottom-to-top for the voice story — both meet at Pulse + Core. The four sections below highlight one part each.

Identity in.

Application layer

Pulse listens to your directory.

Microsoft Entra ID today, Google Workspace next. Pulse analyses your directory, derives groups and patterns, and turns them into blueprints — calling-line identity, group memberships, ring policies, audit trails. Every joiner-mover-leaver propagates from your directory of record without a script in sight.

The control plane

One brain. Two domains.

Identity people speak in users, groups and policies. Voice people speak in trunks, prefixes and codecs. Pulse + Core is the only layer that speaks both — so a change on either side propagates correctly to the other. Multi-tenant by default, delegated admin for partners, per-customer billing baked in. The console MSPs and resellers actually run their day from.

Voice in.

Voice layer

Carriers, codecs, quality — all on the same plane.

Bring your own SIP trunks or use ours. Pulse + Core handles the SBC, the failover, the routing decisions, the SDR. Every call leaves a CDR with quality metrics — MOS, jitter, packet loss — so issues get caught before customers report them. EU-hosted, ISO 27001 data centres, Dutch and Belgian routing. Breakouts (AI, transcription, summary) coming next.

Endpoints

Native in Microsoft Teams. Mobile next.

Pulse + Core dispatches to the systems your users actually live in. Today that's native PSTN inside Microsoft Teams via Direct Routing — no Teams Phone licence required, identity provisioned by Pulse, dialled from the standard Teams app on desktop and mobile. Mobile twinning, transfer-to-handset, and the rest of the breakouts come out of the same engine.
